Multiple Locations Reinforcing Steel Detailer

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Title: Reinforcing Steel Detailer

Position Summary:
Responsible for providing excellent customer service by managing all facets of reinforcing steel projects from job award to completion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Manages all aspects of project including detailing (internal or external) sequencing delivery, etc.
2. Submit drawing for customer approval
3. Respond to RFIs
4. Distribute approved drawing as necessary for project fabrications
5. Coordinate product logistics as required and work with the contractor and shop to ensure to construction delays
6. Work closely with the Fabrication department to ensure product is per spec and resolve any problems that may arise
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Must be able to read
2. Must have excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
3. Must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with contractors, superiors, and internal department.
Education and Experience:
1. Associates Degree is construction, management, engineering or a closely related field preferred.
2. 1 year experience as an estimator or project manager in the construction industry preferred.
Physical Demands:
Primarily office work together with outside site visits.

Normal Work Schedule:
Typically five (5) day work week; will need to attend occasional out of town training program. Responsible for various site visits as necessary. To excel in our industry may entail more than 40 hours of work per week.
Work Environment:
Office environment with regular visits to other product and non-production areas.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Foot and head protection as required by individual jobsite; none in office.
